Connect the systems
Monitoring and automation can coordinate generation, storage, climate, equipment, charging, and other loads instead of treating them as unrelated systems.
Sustainability is broader than electricity
- Buildings: efficient heating and cooling, lighting, insulation, controls, durable materials, and thoughtful design.
- Water: conservation, leak detection, efficient fixtures, landscape choices, filtration, and reuse where appropriate and permitted.
- Waste: reduce unnecessary packaging, repair and reuse equipment, recycle responsibly, and design business processes that create less waste.
- Transportation: EV charging, fleet planning, route efficiency, shared mobility, and right-sized transportation choices.
- Business practices: purchasing, equipment life, logistics, packaging, energy management, and vendor practices can all affect both operating cost and environmental impact.
